WHO WAS TREATED, WHAT CHANGED
The four peptides answer different questions about health
Peptides can have quite different effects inside your body. This page compares the studies, their findings, and the answers about people that are still missing.
The studies didn’t compare treatments for the same illness
These peptides do different jobs, so their studies don't examine one common treatment. Here you'll compare what researchers asked and how far the answers reached.
CJC-1295 keeps a growth-hormone message acting for longer. KPV tests ask about entry into gut cells and reduced bowel inflammation.
Retatrutide studies check appetite, blood sugar, and use of energy. GHK-Cu studies mainly concern skin repair and products put on skin.
KPV's cell and animal work doesn't establish human benefit or safety. CJC-1295 has small human hormone studies, leaving lasting health improvement unproved.
Retatrutide reached Phase 2, early checks of benefit and harm in people. Lasting safety remains unsettled, and GHK-Cu's human skin tests are small.
A changed blood test still leaves you needing to know whether the person felt better, could do more, or had less trouble from the illness that researchers were trying to treat. A hormone rise doesn’t answer that.
Each test asked its own question and left its own gap
| Peptide | What was tested | What researchers asked | People, animals, or cells treated | What remains unknown |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CJC-1295 | A changed hormone message | Did growth hormone and IGF-1, a separate hormone supporting growth, rise? | Small human hormone studies and animal tests [1][4][5][7] | Whether people become healthier over time |
| KPV | A fragment of a natural hormone | Did gut cells take in KPV and inflammation ease? | Gut cells raised in dishes; mice with bowel inflammation [8][9][10][11][12] | Benefits and safety for people |
| Retatrutide | One peptide copying three hormones | Did weight, blood sugar, and energy use change? | Phase 2 trials: early comparisons of human treatments [15][16][17] | Lasting safety; there is no approval |
| GHK-Cu | Copper joined to GHK | Did the tested product change skin or hair? | Small human skin and hair tests, removed skin, and reviews [18][19][20][21][22] | Whether other products or ways of use help |
The questions and the people tested help you judge each claim. A wider claim still needs more than the brief finding shown here.
Hormone, hunger, gut, and skin tests examine separate effects
CJC-1295 and retatrutide affect hormones without having the same effects. CJC-1295 starts growth-hormone release in a gland underneath the brain.
Retatrutide copies three hormone actions affecting sugar, energy use, and hunger [1][14]. Retatrutide's actions reach several parts of your body.
KPV's gut tests used cells and animals, leaving treatment of people unproved. A gut protein helped cells take in KPV, reducing activity linked with inflammation [10].
GHK-Cu changed how cells made skin-supporting materials in lab experiments [19][21]. Cells also changed the activity of genes, instructions used for making proteins inside cells.
Calling all these peptides repair treatments hides the differences between their effects. The body part affected and the way researchers checked the change matter to you.
No peptide here has the human evidence needed for every wider claim. The findings below keep test results separate from relief from illness.
A changed blood test doesn’t establish relief from illness
CJC-1295 has only small human studies, leaving lasting improvement in your health unproved. Growth hormone and IGF-1, a separate growth-related hormone, stayed raised for days [4][5].
KPV lacks a human trial here establishing benefit or safety. Cells took KPV inside, and damaged mouse bowels showed less inflammation after treatment [8][9][10][11].
Retatrutide trials compared people assigned to different treatments. Studies measured lower weight, blood sugar, and liver fat in treated groups [15][16][17].
Phase 2 is an early check of benefit and harm in people. Phase 3 checks those effects more fully in larger groups.
Longer testing helps show whether benefits last or unwanted effects appear later. You can't get those answers from a brief improvement alone.
GHK-Cu's skin and hair tests were small, and some tested mixtures. Most claims about wider repair rely on cells and earlier findings [18][19][20][21][22].
I found fewer reasons for confusion when I kept each product beside its result. When a study used a mixture on skin, you can't tell from the result whether the peptide alone would help someone with a different illness or given a different treatment.
Safety needs separate checking for each peptide and way of use
A claim can go beyond what researchers actually tested. CJC-1295 raises growth hormone and IGF-1, with its two forms lasting different times.
KPV lacks human safety tests and often needed protective packaging in mouse studies. Retatrutide trials reported stomach trouble and faster heart rates, leaving lasting effects unsettled [13][16][17].
GHK-Cu cream findings don't establish the safety of swallowed or injected forms. You need separate tests for a different way into the body.
Accounts from people trying CJC-1295, retatrutide, or GHK-Cu for research describe personal experiences. No trial compared treatment groups to check these accounts, so they don't count as tested findings.
The KPV papers here don't provide a collection of users' personal experiences. For each claim, ask what the person received and what actually changed.
